Prayer and Worship Commission

Scripture:   “As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world….Father, may they be one in us, as you are in me and I am in you….
may they be so completely one that the world will realize that it was you who sent me and that you have loved them as much as you loved me.”     John 17: 8, 21, 23

Mission:  The Prayer and Worship Commission is committed to the full, conscious, and active participation of all in the liturgical life of the community. The Commission assists and advises the staff of Blessed Savior as it seeks to plan meaningful, prayerful, and creative Liturgies as well as other prayer experiences that enhance the life of the faith community.

Vision:  Since the Liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed, as well as the source from which all its power flows, the members of the Commission prepare celebrations that model the Church as the sacrament of unity and build up the Body of Christ.

Meetings: 1st Wednesday of the month, 6:30pm in the Parish Center.

Meeting schedule subject to change ... please check the parish calendar for current schedule.

Prayer Garden

A prayer garden, complete with a statue of Mary, “Our Lady of Grace” and a water fountain located on the east side of the Parish Center was dedicated and blessed on Mother’s Day.

These items have been purchased with memorial funds from the Karen Recklies family.

Additional funds collected will be used to beautify the space with a trellis, plantings and fresh flowers. Future plans will consider ways to create a more prayerful garden.

Come visit the prayer garden and take a moment to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, offer a brief prayer, and silent reflection.
