Bereavement Ministry

Scripture:  “Come to me all you who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest.”     Matthew 11:28

Mission:  Bereavement Ministers provide hospitality during a funeral visitation, attend the Mass, and assist the family with lectors, Eucharistic ministers, and gift bearers, if needed. Cards are sent to families on several occasions during the first year.

Vision:  To provide comfort and support to those who are grieving through listening, offering sympathy and care, and to continue this support, if needed, at a future time. This includes funerals in our church as well as funerals held elsewhere.

Bereavement Ministry also takes part in the All Souls Mass remembrance celebration in November. The families of those who have died in the past year receive a special invitation to attend this celebration. Hospitality is offered after all the Masses.

Meetings: 1st Tuesday of most months, 1:30pm in the Parish Center.

Meeting schedule subject to change ... please check the parish calendar for current schedule.
